Have a family or friends game night. Bring out board games, card games etc throughout night.
Have a movie night. Turn in for a movie marathon. During this time, you can eat and drink different snacks you’ve prepared for the night and can also have a themed sleep over.
Create photo booth. Arrange an area of your to be the photo booth stage .Find a wall or a backround and decorate it with creative things you have. Get some costume pieces or the best outfits and have your very own photos in the new year’s eve photo booth you’ve created.
Play music and dance to your feets.
Make countdown bags to open every hour. Fill the bags with ideas and things you would like to open up at every hour, leading to the midnight, like photoshoots, activity tags, movies, icecreams, different snacks and goodies, games etc. and some creative craft works.
Celebrate the New Year in a different zone. Whichever country’s new year you’re celebrating, keep that the theme for the night. Try all those things that the country loves, its culture, food etc. Like in Denmark, they have a tradition of climbing up a chair and jumping off of it as the clock hits 12 and In Paris,they eat grapes and cheeses.
Make your own recipes.
Eat a grape or burst a balloon at each bell strike at midnight. This indicates a symbol of prosperity.
Buy bubble wrap and spread out on hard floor just before midnight. At the end of the countdown.
