Fights, battles, wars, What has the world gained from these? How much has the world lost out on?
Isn’t it sad to think how we live on with unending egos?
Insecurities lurking at every day’s end and every night’s dream
I see people making life decisions with hearts filled with hatred Or are they keeping in mind the hostility they received?
You strut around, thinking nobody’s hurt With your selfish lies and your cold retorts
What turned you so bitter? Is it the world’s animosity? Or is it your own ill-will?
I thought you had been taught of a beautiful world The one with love, care and bounteous hopes The one that promised to carry on, to carry on happily, On a path of moral ascendency
The one that told of the numerous stories of compassion The one that showcased your honesty and mine
The one you’d hoped for The one you wished to be in The one you wished to give me.
