Release of Mozilla’s new look in 2017- check the details

Mozilla has it’s new look now. It has been months that this non-profit organisation has launched the contest for designing it’s new logo. And finally now the company has settled on it’s new look from the seven finalists. The organisation selected the logo because its “nod to URL language reinforces that the Internet is at the heart of Mozilla.”

The new look reflects the company’s determination towards internet software technologies and services. In the new design the ‘ill’ is replaced by ‘://’ which represents the symbols seen in the web addresses. Even the Font has been improved from what we saw in august. It has been named as ‘zilla’ and was created by Typotheque in the Netherlands. Zilla is an Open source for all.

The black box surrounding the logo is a key building block of the design, and echoes the way we all select type in toolbars and programs.’ Zilla’ has a journalistic feel that reinforces the company’s commitment to participate in the conversations about the key issues of internet health.

The above shown is the color palette that is yet to be finalised, because it is derived from the highlight colours which the Firefox and most of the browsers use.The company want to create a reflection in the diversity and richness in the internet by it’s color palette.

Well we have to wait for some more time for the release of Mozilla’s new look in 2017. All the tech geeks can know more about why the creative head of Mozilla Mr.Murray thinks that this is a perfect design in the Murray’s post in the following link , https://blog.mozilla.org/opendesign/arrival/
